Description
The Kansas City Board of Public Utilities is soliciting proposals for a new 280 MVA, three-phase, liquid-filled outdoor generator step-up transformer for the Nearman N1 generating unit. The transformer must have a 161 kV grounded-wye high-voltage winding, a 19 kV delta low-voltage winding, matching dimensions for the existing isophase bus and overhead transmission line, and specified cooling, tap-changing, monitoring, protection, bushing, and accessory systems. The scope includes engineering and design, furnishing, delivery, offloading, on-site assembly, oil filling, installation, commissioning, factory acceptance testing, field testing, test reports, drawings, manuals, and warranty support. Proposers must demonstrate at least 10 years of relevant substation-transformer manufacturing experience and provide at least 10 recent examples of similar transformers supplied in continental North America. The proposal package uses BPU-provided forms and includes pricing and schedule, safety, financial, insurance, subcontractor, and related-experience information.
