Description
The City of Santa Clara, through Silicon Valley Power, seeks a contractor to design, manufacture, factory-test, ship, deliver, set in place, assemble, field-test, commission, and provide field assistance for three outdoor oil-filled three-phase step-down power transformers: two for Agnew Substation and one for Palm Substation. The transformers are specified as 30/40/50 MVA units with 60/12 kV windings, on-load and de-energized tap changers, tertiary windings, bushings, current transformers, surge arresters, cooling systems, nitrogen preservation systems, monitoring and control equipment, and related auxiliary components. The scope also includes recommended spare parts, storage options, technical submittals, drawings, factory acceptance testing, installation, oil filling and processing, field testing, training, and commissioning. Bidders must submit pricing and schedules using the provided forms, identify the manufacturing and testing facility, demonstrate relevant experience, provide ISO 9001-related quality documentation, and submit five customer references. The selected contractor must meet extensive insurance, quality, testing, delivery, prevailing-wage, and five-year warranty requirements. The City may purchase up to two additional transformers within twelve months after final delivery at pricing adjusted by the specified Producer Price Index.
