Description
The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority seeks a provider for scheduled trash and recycling collection at its facilities and transit locations, plus as-needed roll-off service for construction and other waste. The scope includes supplying and maintaining containers (except RFTA-owned equipment), collecting and transporting materials to appropriate disposal or recycling facilities, and cleaning up spills. Service locations, container types, quantities, and collection frequencies are listed in the Bid Tab; needs may vary seasonally or for special events, and RFTA may adjust services. Optional future service at bus rapid transit platforms may begin around 2028 but is not guaranteed. Bidders must submit pricing in the provided Bid Tab and provide a statement of qualifications and experience, including firm background, assigned key personnel, and examples of similar work for public-sector or public-transportation clients. The award is intended for the lowest-priced responsible and responsive bidder. The initial contract term is one year, with four potential one-year renewals. Subcontracting or assignment requires RFTA's prior written permission.
