Description
Charleston County is seeking a qualified, full-service custodial contractor for routine and detailed cleaning, sanitation, dayporter services, emergency response, and scheduled floor care at various county facilities. The scope includes daytime, nighttime, weekend, holiday, and emergency-activation services; cleaning of offices, courts, restrooms, kitchens, breakrooms, entrances, elevators, stairwells, exterior areas, and other facility spaces; restroom-supply replenishment; high dusting and glass cleaning; trash and recycling handling; and maintenance of carpet, VCT, LVT, ceramic tile, concrete, terrazzo, rubber, and other floor surfaces. The contractor must furnish personnel, supervision, equipment, tools, chemicals, supplies, quality-assurance systems, and schedules. Requirements include a local office and central warehouse, at least 10 years in business, at least five similar-facility references, direct oversight of performance without outsourcing the contract, staff paid at least $16 per hour, background checks and applicable CJIS clearances, OSHA compliance, and a detailed list of proposed supplies and equipment with samples of specified paper and soap products. The County may award one or more lots based on lot and overall pricing. The contract term is one year with four additional one-year extension options.
