Description
Charleston County School District is soliciting bids for complete kitchen exhaust hood and duct cleaning services at designated schools twice annually, during September–December and January–May. The contractor must clean interior exhaust hoods, fans and motors, associated ductwork, roof caps, and metal hood filters, leaving systems free of grease, residue, and water stains. The scope includes all labor, supervision, materials, transportation, tools, equipment, personal protective equipment, and incidental services. The solicitation also includes four inspection-only units serviced twice per year. Contractors must provide service schedules, completion stickers, signed service tickets, invoices, and inspection/compliance reports through the District’s designated systems. Bidders must submit a valid hood-cleaning certification, maintain an office within 75 miles of Charleston County, and provide current business and hood-cleaning licenses, proof of insurance, company contact information, and three references for similar services performed for similar agencies within the past year. The bid is evaluated as a best-value award, with price weighted at 60%, company structure and resources at 20%, comparable prior performance at 10%, and conformance to specifications at 10%. Subcontracting requires prior District approval and disclosure of qualifying subcontractors; subcontractors must meet applicable qualification requirements.
