Description
The University of Michigan, through its Biomedical Research Core Facilities (BRCF), is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to evaluate and select an optimal flow cytometry analysis solution. The current application, FlowJo, is nearing the expiration of its licensing contract on July 31, 2026, and has experienced rising costs. This RFP presents an opportunity to explore alternative vendor solutions and pricing models. The scope of this opportunity includes evaluating software for cleaning, gating (selecting and isolating cell populations), and visualizing cell populations, as well as supporting advanced analyses. The university is seeking a solution that can meet specific requirements related to functionality, technical standards, accessibility, and data security. Key considerations include vendor background, sustainability practices, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 Level AA and Section 508 Standards), data security protocols, and overall value proposition. The university also requires vendors to adhere to Michigan state laws and university terms and conditions, including potential business associate agreements and data security agreements.
