The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District, is conducting a virtual Industry Day for the anticipated VA Canandaigua Phase III Design-Build project. This is a market-research and planning notice, not a solicitation or request for proposals. The anticipated project will stabilize and make safe Building 1 and renovate and fit out an outpatient pharmacy in Building 3 at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. The work is expected to include building-envelope repair, restoration and replacement; entry-walk and stair restoration; demolition of a temporary tunnel; structural demolition and hazardous-material abatement; fire protection, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, communications, infection-control measures, commissioning, and turnover. The agency is seeking industry feedback on contractor interest and capacity, bonding, labor availability, teaming, supply-chain and long-lead materials, construction sequencing, campus coordination, schedule risks, and potential project labor agreement effects.
