Description
The Colorado Charter School Institute is requesting proposals for the furnishing and delivery of locally and non-locally grown fresh fruits and raw vegetables, supplied in bulk and individually wrapped formats, for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program. The initial service period runs from October 26, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with four additional one-year renewal options. Deliveries will be made as needed to Kwiyagat Community School in Towaoc and Pagosa Peak Open School in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. The solicitation includes a market-basket pricing sheet covering numerous fruits and vegetables, pack sizes, estimated usage, and availability. Vendors must provide pricing for product and delivery, comply with Buy American requirements, identify non-domestic products, and meet delivery, product-quality, replacement, recall, and food-safety requirements. Vendors must have an on-farm food-safety or HACCP plan, submit the required producer checklist, and provide evidence of at least $1 million in liability insurance. Required bid materials include pricing and availability information, food-safety documentation, insurance evidence, Buy American/import-products certification, debarment, lobbying, clean-air, non-collusion, and signed acceptance documents.
