Description
Springfield Public Schools District #186 is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to serve as the prime vendor for fresh produce supply and delivery. The contract will be for a term of three years, starting July 28, 2025 and ending June 30, 2029. The vendor must furnish fresh produce and deliver directly to each school listed in the solicitation. Deliveries shall be made at least once a week, with some locations requiring twice-weekly delivery. The vendor must provide a fixed fee per case or bag plus the current market price, with weekly pricing due every Friday. The solicitation includes a detailed list of produce items with estimated 6-month usage quantities, including salad mixes, lettuce, carrots, celery, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes, fruits, and more. All produce must be ripe, in good condition, and meet specified grades. The vendor must comply with the Buy American clause and provide monthly usage information. Bids must be submitted on a flash drive and paper copy using the provided Excel spreadsheet, in a sealed envelope.
