Description
The North Carolina Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for one aluminum box culvert with aluminum structural plate headwalls for a bridge-maintenance project. The required structure includes a 40.5-foot culvert, specified span and rise dimensions, welded headwalls, headwall caps and support members, tieback rods with dead-man anchor plates, a roll of geogrid, and professional-engineer-stamped drawings and calculations. Materials must meet applicable AASHTO and North Carolina Department of Transportation requirements, including LRFD HL-93 loading and surcharge design. The vendor must furnish, deliver, and assemble the structure; provide necessary hardware and assembly tools; complete initial and final assembly; and provide on-site installation oversight for at least three days. The vendor must be authorized by the manufacturer to distribute or resell the products. The award is for a one-time purchase, with delivery and assembly requirements tied to the purchase order and agreed assembly dates.
