Description
Somerset County seeks a contractor to provide tuberculosis-control services for its Chest Clinic, including licensed pulmonary or infectious-disease physician services, nursing and clerical staffing, clinical evaluation, treatment recommendations, tuberculosis testing, chest radiography, sputum collection and induction, phlebotomy, medication administration, medical-record maintenance, health education, reporting, and electronic medical-record support. Required staffing includes one nurse, one physician, and one administrative staff member, with stated weekly hour limits. The contractor must also provide community-based directly observed therapy, tuberculosis case management, patient referrals, diagnostic and laboratory-service coordination, operational and clinical policies, monthly reporting and invoicing, infection-control and regulated-medical-waste compliance, and all required clinical equipment. Physician and nursing licenses or certifications must be submitted with the proposal. The initial contract runs from January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2027, with four optional one-year extensions.
