Description
Texas A&M AgriLife Research is soliciting bids for a turnkey fence replacement project at its Research and Extension Center in Overton, Texas. The work includes approximately 80,000 linear feet of six-strand, 14-gauge, high-tensile barbed-wire fence; 75 16-foot cattle gates; 17 water gaps; and approximately 1,735 linear feet of eight-foot, 12.5-gauge wire-mesh high-game fence with two 16-foot double gates. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, installation, concrete, bracing, coatings, clearing, demolition, disposal, and related accessories. Existing fencing must be removed and disposed of, and trees and brush must be cleared along specified rights of way. A mandatory site inspection is required before bidding. The bid response must include unit and total project pricing, descriptive literature or technical specifications, estimated completion time, warranty information, and a completed subcontracting plan. Payment and performance bonds are conditionally required for projects exceeding $25,000 and $100,000, respectively; insurance coverage is required under the attached construction insurance requirements.
