Description
McDowell County is soliciting sealed bids for Hurricane Helene disaster recovery and in-kind restoration at Lindley Park, Greenlee Park, and Sandy Andrews Memorial Park. The work must restore existing facilities within their pre-disaster footprints and includes grading, earthwork, silt removal, repairs to facilities, structures, concession stands, and restrooms, replacement of mechanical equipment, appliances, and plumbing fixtures, and restoration of picnic shelters, tables, grills, and playground equipment. Additional work includes baseball field and athletic surface restoration, perimeter fence repairs, paving for access drives, trails, and parking areas, drainage channel and stormwater utility work, and replacement of damaged electrical wiring, panels, and site and ballfield lighting infrastructure. Bids require a five-percent bid bond or qualifying bid deposit, and bidders must hold the appropriate North Carolina contractor license. Final completion is expected within 210 days after the Notice to Proceed.
