Description
The City of Asheville is soliciting sealed construction bids for repairs to water mains attached to bridges that were damaged during Hurricane Helene. The work covers water-main repairs at the Swannanoa River crossings along Wood Avenue, Bleachery Boulevard, and Azalea Road East, as well as the Cane Creek crossing along Heritage Park Drive, together with miscellaneous insulation replacement. The project is federally funded. Complete plans, specifications, and contract documents are available electronically at no cost through the Water Engineering Division. Construction is scheduled to begin January 5, 2027. Bids will be opened immediately after the submission deadline.
