Description
The Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs, through the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center (RVC), is issuing a Request for Proposal for full-time Medical Director Services. The Medical Director will oversee medical care for residents of this 120-bed long-term care facility, ensuring compliance with CMS and VA regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities include coordinating medical care, reviewing and approving facility policies, participating in Quality Assessment & Assurance meetings, supervising non-physician practitioners, and serving as a liaison between medical providers and administration. The Medical Director must be board certified in a specialty area of medicine, licensed in Kentucky, and available for consultation 24/7. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in geriatric psychiatry or long-term care medicine.
