Description
The City of Santa Clara is soliciting quotes for six 60 kV capacitive voltage transformers for the Northern Receiving Station Substation Upgrades and Expansion Project, supporting the Silicon Valley Power System Expansion Plan. The equipment must meet specified electrical, physical, seismic, environmental, and performance requirements, including a 350 kV BIL rating, 60 Hz operation, composite bushings, resistance to salt and industrial contamination, and IEEE 693 High, Zone 4 seismic qualification. The selected vendor must complete preliminary and final design drawing packages for City review and approval, warehouse the equipment for a single delivery, and deliver the CVTs by November 6, 2026. Pricing must include the required bid pricing form and storage fees, and the bidder must submit a completed design and delivery schedule. A one-year warranty or the manufacturer's longer warranty applies. Insurance is required before services commence, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and professional liability coverage.
