Description
The City of Santa Clara is seeking contractors to provide routine landscape maintenance at Department of Public Works and Silicon Valley Power sites. Services include litter, trash, leaf, green-waste, and debris removal; landscape-area and adjacent hardscape cleanup; mowing, edging, trimming, and blowing; pruning; weed control and integrated pest management; solid-waste collection and trash-can liner replacement; herbicide applications at designated Silicon Valley Power sites; and traffic-control and public-safety measures for work near public rights-of-way. The scope also allows City-authorized additional landscape maintenance services. The initial contract term is one year, with four additional one-year option periods. Bidders must hold a valid California C-27 Contractor's License, provide personnel with applicable Qualified Applicator Certificates or Licenses for pesticide and herbicide work, submit three similar customer references, and be registered with the California Department of Industrial Relations before bidding. The work is subject to prevailing-wage and labor-compliance requirements. Bids must include the completed bid pricing form, bidder certification form, and customer reference form, and must be submitted electronically through the designated bidding system.
