Description
The Luther Burbank School District is requesting qualifications and proposals from qualified manufacturers of modular buildings for the design and construction of a new two-story modular classroom building at Luther Burbank Elementary School. The project includes the manufacturing and installation of the modular building, along with associated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The building will feature kindergarten and general classrooms, restrooms, workrooms, an elevator, and a solar equipment room. The estimated cost for the modular building is $4.5 million, excluding site and utility work. The building will require fire sprinklers and a 3-phase electrical system. The HVAC system will be a Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) system as specified in the Basis of Design document. The project is not located in a Wildland Urban Interface area, and no Project Labor Agreement (PLA) or Project Stabilization Agreement (PSA) is anticipated. The selected manufacturer will be responsible for providing the modular building, including the mechanical equipment pad and a quote for the foundation, and must indicate whether they can perform the foundation work.
