Description
The Pierce County Library System is soliciting bids for replacement of the existing stormwater conveyance and treatment/flow-control system serving the Parkland Spanaway Library. The work includes demolition and replacement of below-grade piping and drainage structures; a new bioretention facility with engineered soils, plantings, and irrigation modifications; a bidder-designed duplex stormwater pump station with controls, alarms, and associated electrical service; and connections to existing storm infrastructure. The project also includes site demolition, erosion and sediment control, earthwork, asphalt paving and grind-and-overlay, concrete curbs and sidewalks, ADA parking improvements, pavement markings and signage, landscaping, tree and plant protection, and a manual transfer switch connection for a portable generator. The library will remain operational during construction, with required access and parking maintained. The estimated base bid range is $750,000 to $830,000. Bidders must submit a signed bid form, bid bond, wage-payment compliance certification, bidder qualification statement, and required subcontractor information; three similar-project references are required.
