Description
The City of Brookings is soliciting bids for the complete cleaning and inspection of 10 drinking water reservoirs. The work includes vacuuming accumulated sediment, collecting it in filter bags for disposal by the City, evaluating interior fasteners, supports, and sacrificial anodes for deterioration or corrosion, and dechlorinating discharge effluent to no more than 1.0 mg/L total chlorine residual in accordance with the applicable discharge permit. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and materials. For each reservoir, the contractor must submit video documentation by DVD or flash drive and a complete written report to the Chief Plants Operator within one week after project completion. Payment and performance bonds are required, and bidders must provide references for at least three similar completed projects and meet Oregon contractor-registration, workers’ compensation, drug-testing, and responsibility requirements.
