Description
The City of Ocala is soliciting proposals for an Operations Support System/Business Support System platform to support its fiber-to-the-premises network serving approximately 4,500 residential and commercial subscribers. The solution must provide billing and accounting, customer self-service, service-order and work-order management, workforce and asset management, trouble-ticketing, reporting, payment processing, notifications, and configurable user access. It must support integration with the City's existing fiber and business systems, including Adtran infrastructure, optional Alcatel-Lucent platforms, Microsoft Dynamics 365/Cogsdale, GIS, inventory, ticketing, IVR, and related network-management systems. The selected vendor will provide implementation assistance, configuration, migration, testing, documentation, training, warranty coverage, and ongoing maintenance and support. The platform is expected to be implemented and ready for testing and training within 180 days of contract execution, with at least six months of parallel operation with the existing system. The initial contract term is five years, and proposers must demonstrate at least five years of relevant experience and provide at least three verifiable governmental, electric-provider, or utility references. Responses must include a technical proposal, project team and past-performance information, implementation approach and schedule, price proposal, and applicable technology, reference, and optional-functionality forms.
