Description
This solicitation is for the supply of 900 units of 2-inch air service hose assemblies. The hose must have a 2.00" inner diameter and a 2.625" outer diameter with a minimum wall thickness of 0.3125". It needs to withstand a working pressure of at least 150 PSI and be constructed with a synthetic rubber inner tube, reinforced with synthetic high-strength textile yarn, and a red synthetic rubber cover that is acid and oil resistant. The cover color must not contain yellow or magenta shades. End fittings must be permanently attached, made of brass and/or stainless steel only, and feature a 2" male nominal pipe thread. One end of the hose assembly requires a Hansen quick-connect coupling part number B16-T51 (plug), "or equal," and the opposite end requires a Hansen quick-connect coupling part number B16-S-51-SL (socket), "or equal." A "Dixon" style "W" whipcheck safety cable must be permanently attached behind the shoulder on the male end fitting via crimping. Each completed hose assembly must be hydrostatically tested to the minimum working pressure of the hose being supplied and held for 30 minutes with zero leakage. Suppliers must provide written certification of this test. The completed hose assemblies must be palletized. The required delivery date is 12 weeks after order placement.
