Description
The U.S. Army Contracting Command - Redstone Arsenal, on behalf of the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM), is seeking innovative solutions for an Advanced Manufacturing (AdvM) metal printing capability. This capability is needed at the Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) to support aviation maintenance operations, enabling the rapid fabrication of qualified parts, tools, jigs, fixtures, and ground support equipment. The desired solution involves a Laser Powder Bed Fusion (LPBF) metal printer system, including shipping, on-site installation, ancillary equipment, operating software, warranties, training for up to four personnel, and sustainment services. Key requirements for the printer include a specific build envelope, layer thickness capabilities, laser safety certification, scanning speed, and compatibility with Microsoft Windows operating systems. The system must be capable of printing with Ti6Al4v ELI (Titanium 6% Aluminum 4% Vanadium) Grade 23 or ELI Grade 23 materials. Proposals should include all necessary ancillary equipment, facility transformers, site acceptance testing, an extended warranty of at least three years (totaling four years), and comprehensive support including phone and on-site technical assistance. A turnkey on-site installation is required, along with a point of contact for coordination and oversight throughout the process. The solicitation is being issued under the Army Open Solicitation (AOS) W9128Z-25-S-A002, and potential awards will be made under FAR Part 12.
