Description
Chicago Public Schools is soliciting bids from its prequalified Environmental Contractors—Waste pool for lightbulb removal at 6662 N Northwest Hwy. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supplies to sort and pack lightbulbs and manage the resulting universal and hazardous waste in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements. The scope includes work-area preparation, segregation, packaging, labeling, on-site handling, transportation, recycling or disposal at approved facilities, and payment of related transport and disposal fees. Contractors must follow the hazardous and universal waste management specifications, including requirements for regulated lamps, PCB-containing ballasts, manifests, licensed haulers, worker safety, waste characterization, and documentation. A completed and signed bid cover sheet is required. A mandatory walkthrough is scheduled for September 29, 2026, and bids must be submitted electronically through EUNA/Bonfire by the stated deadline.
