Description
The U.S. Geological Survey's Lake Superior Biological Station requires hazardous waste removal services for preserved biological samples and formalin, along with chemicals and related materials including acetone, glacial acetic acid, mercury thermometers, paints, solvents, and solidified formaldehyde. The specifications identify approximately 8,497 containers totaling about 1,472.36 liters, including materials stored throughout laboratory, warehouse, cold-storage, shelf, floor, and fume-hood areas. The contractor must provide collection, packaging, labeling, transportation, treatment, and disposal in accordance with applicable hazardous-waste requirements. The opportunity is a total small-business set-aside for a firm-fixed-price, one-year period of performance from September 24, 2026, through September 23, 2027. Quotations must acknowledge Amendment 0001, which incorporates the updated specifications and renames the wage-determination attachment; all other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
