Description

Humble Independent School District is soliciting a carrier-neutral data center provider for a primary colocation facility within 30 miles of Humble, Texas, in the Houston metropolitan area. The selected provider must furnish a private secured cage supporting five 42U racks, approximately 20 kW scalable to 75 kW of protected 208-volt power, A/B redundant power whips, UPS battery backup, generator failover, redundant cooling and communications, cross-connects, telecommunications and Internet connectivity, around-the-clock monitoring, physical security, flexible expansion, and smart-hands support. The facility must meet or exceed Tier 4 data center standards and support the District’s servers, storage, backup, disaster recovery, networking, and Internet point-of-presence equipment. The solicitation establishes a three-year contract beginning January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2030, with two additional one-year renewal options. Proposals are submitted electronically through the District’s online bidding system and must include the required online responses and uploads, including Form 1295, a completed W-9, and three to five school district or higher-education customer references. Insurance certificates are required from awarded vendors providing services or entering District premises, with specified workers’ compensation, general liability, automobile liability, and umbrella liability coverage.
