Description
Ramsey County seeks contractors to provide a multidisciplinary conservation and preservation program for public artwork, historic fixtures, sculptures, indoor stonework, architectural woodwork, textiles, paper, and vintage furnishings. Services include on-site condition assessments and material analysis; cleaning, repair, stabilization, varnish removal, and protective coatings; and secure packaging, climate-controlled transit, and off-site storage when items must be removed for treatment. Contractors should also be able to provide preventative-maintenance consultation and rapid emergency response for damage from events such as flooding, fire, smoke, or vandalism. Deliverables include pre-treatment examination reports with high-resolution photographs, treatment proposals with processes, materials, and cost estimates, treatment logs and summaries, and maintenance handbooks where applicable. The solicitation requests a completed pricing worksheet, a completed response form, a completed contractor information and reference form, and documentation of the firm's relevant history and project approach. The resulting rate-setting contract may be awarded to one or more contractors, with work authorized by project.
