Description
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management is soliciting bids from Stage I prequalified general contractors for construction of a new approximately 2,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal storage building at Southwest Technical College. The base project includes two overhead doors, a heating-only mechanical system with gas-fired unit heaters, foundations, slab, utilities, electrical work, lighting, site work, and related construction. An additive alternate is included for epoxy floors. The construction budget is $337,481. The project requires use of a DFCM-approved fabricator, compliance with DFCM roofing and high-performance building requirements, a 5% bid bond, and submission of a subcontractor list. The substantial completion date is March 19, 2027. Only contractors prequalified in the applicable DFCM discipline may bid, and attendance at the September 22, 2026 mandatory meeting was required for prime contractors.
