Description
The State of Utah Division of Wildlife Resources, through the State of Utah Division of Purchasing, is soliciting a prequalified contractor for the Little Creek Watershed Restoration project. The work covers up to 64 acres and includes hand-felling all live and dead pinyon and juniper trees, cutting and slashing the material, constructing compact hand piles at least 6 feet tall by 6 feet wide, and dropping approximately 30 to 40 orange-flagged trees into dry drainage channels. Blue-flagged trees and specified conifer and mahogany species must be preserved. The contractor must furnish the crew, chainsaws and other equipment, GPS capability, mobilization, transportation, site access, cleanup, safety measures, and all operating costs. Work must begin within seven calendar days after the notice to proceed and be completed by November 1, 2026. Participation is limited to contractors on the current State of Utah Rangeland Prequalification List for the applicable treatment and acreage category. Bids are submitted on a per-acre basis through the online procurement system, and award is anticipated to go to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder. Subcontracting requires prior written approval.
