The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is issuing a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for cooperative agreements to support invasive and noxious plant management on public lands. The program aims to prevent, detect, inventory, control, and monitor weed populations. Priority projects include advancing early detection rapid response, enhancing emergency stabilization and burned area rehabilitation, advancing education and citizen science, conducting invasive species treatments, and supporting classical biological control agent development. Eligible applicants include state, county, city, and special district governments; institutions of higher education; Native American tribal governments and organizations; and nonprofits with or without 501(c)(3) status. Individuals and for-profit organizations are ineligible. The total estimated program funding is $2,000,000, with an expected 40 awards ranging from $20,000 to $400,000. Cost sharing is not required but may be considered in evaluation. Applications must be submitted via Grants.gov by September 25, 2026.
