Description
Franklin Township Public School District Board of Education is soliciting sealed bids for student transportation services for the 2026–2027 school year. The scope includes transportation to and from school for public, private, vocational, nonpublic, and special education students; provision of school buses, drivers, aides, substitute personnel, mechanics, dispatch and terminal management; route operations; cleaning; reporting; training; and compliance with applicable New Jersey transportation and school safety requirements. Contractors must provide compliant buses with air conditioning, GPS tracking, child reminder systems, digital audio/video cameras, two-way radios, spare vehicle capacity, and specialized equipment such as car seats and safety harnesses when required. The bid includes per diem route pricing and mileage adjustment pricing, with routes awarded individually or in bulk. Bidders must submit the prescribed bid forms and required certifications, ownership and political-contribution disclosures, bid guarantee, consent of surety, insurance evidence, and other listed documents. The contract work is generally scheduled from September 1 through June 30, with the specifications describing a four-year route duration for aggregate route evaluation; one listed route begins September 21, 2026.
