Description

Corpus Christi Independent School District is soliciting proposals for a districtwide next-generation firewall upgrade. The solution must consist of two physical appliances deployed as a high-availability pair, support North/South and East/West traffic, provide at least 100 Gbps firewall throughput and 90 Gbps SSL/TLS decryption throughput, and support application-based policies, intrusion prevention, URL filtering, VPN, malware and zero-day protection, centralized management, advanced reporting, and integration with the District’s SIEM or log-management platform. Vendors may also propose virtual or software-defined firewall options for the data center and servers. The scope includes equipment, software and licensing, installation, configuration, migration of existing firewall rules, project management, testing, documentation, training for up to four employees, premium 24/7 OEM support, and five years of maintenance. Proposals must include technical and pricing responses, completed worksheets, product specification sheets and white papers, experience information, a management plan, technical approach, HUB-status documentation, and required signed forms and addenda. The initial contract term is three years beginning July 1, 2027, with two three-year renewal options.
