Description
Johnson County Park and Recreation District seeks proposals from multidisciplinary teams to provide professional architecture, landscape architecture, surveying, and engineering services for Phase One development of Camp Branch Park. The scope includes park entries, approximately 0.6 miles of roadway, utility extensions, signage, paved parking lots with lighting and stormwater treatment, a prefabricated restroom and satellite maintenance building with septic, approximately 0.6 miles of wetland and prairie trail, approximately 1.3 miles of streamway trail connection, singletrack trails, shade shelters, a disc golf course, wildlife crossing design, wetland improvements, and habitat restoration recommendations. The work also includes permitting, coordination with utilities and governmental authorities, design documents, bidding assistance, construction administration through the one-year warranty period, and coordination with the modular restroom manufacturer. Teams may consist of a single firm or a lead firm with subconsultants. The project will use a design-bid-build delivery method. The estimated general construction contract award is $6.5 million, excluding the modular restroom purchase. The contract is expected to run from execution through approximately twelve months after substantial completion of construction. Respondents must be licensed in Kansas and provide qualifications, key consultant information, resumes, illustrative work, project approach, and additional resources. Proposed costs are required only from finalists at the interview stage.
