Description
The 436th Contracting Squadron requires a contractor to provide and maintain vehicle and cargo x-ray inspection systems at the Commercial Vehicle Inspection Gate on Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. The system must be capable of scanning various vehicle types, operating in extreme climate conditions (-22F to 140F), and be upgradable to include radioactive detection. The system should utilize low-dose, electrically generated x-ray technology, allowing drivers to remain in their vehicles during scanning, and meet safety standards such as ANSI N43.17. The system must provide clear imaging to identify organic materials, explosives, drugs, and hidden items, with a throughput capacity of at least 120 cars/hour or 80 trucks/hour. The contractor will also be responsible for providing on-site training for government personnel on system operation, anomaly identification, and maintenance. Maintenance services will include scheduled preventive maintenance (6 times per year) and corrective maintenance/repairs with a 24-hour telephone response and 72-hour on-site response for service calls. All equipment and installation services will be under warranty for one year.
