Description
The Georgia State Financing and Investment Commission, on behalf of the Georgia Department of Corrections, is seeking a construction manager at risk/construction manager-general contractor for a new transitional center in Warner Robins, Georgia. The facility is planned to include secure residential housing, dayrooms, classrooms, counseling rooms, employment preparation and case-management areas, administrative and staff spaces, intake and visitation areas, kitchen and dining facilities, laundry facilities, bathrooms and showers, and related support spaces. The preliminary stated construction cost limitation is $25,000,000. The selected firm will provide comprehensive preconstruction and construction services, including constructability and code-compliance reviews, material and phasing recommendations, detailed cost estimating, scheduling, procurement and subcontractor engagement, quality assurance, and general contracting during construction. The project will use a multi-step qualifications and fee-proposal process. The qualifications submission must include company information, minimum-qualification documentation, team organization and resumes, comparable project experience, management approach, and project suitability information, along with the required certification, contractor affidavit, and disclosure forms. Finalists will later submit a fee proposal and initial construction progress schedule and participate in interviews.
