Description
Goodrich Area Schools is soliciting bids for replacement theatrical curtains and rigging upgrades at Goodrich High School and Goodrich Middle School. The scope includes furnishing and installing stage draperies, curtains, borders, legs, travelers, cyclorama materials, curtain tracks, operating ropes, tensioners, pulley systems, traveler carriers, rigging hardware, cables, supports, and related incidental materials. Existing curtains, tracks, and rigging must be removed, stored or disposed of as directed, and certain traveler systems must be relocated. The base bid includes a Thern Pilewind PW12 automated rigging system for the high school's cyclorama pipe, installation and testing, permits, scaffolding or aerial work platforms, shipping, and coordination with the electrical contractor. Additive options cover additional automated hoist systems for designated lighting and scenery pipes. Work must be performed by an approved or authorized rigging manufacturer representative or dealer, with an ETCP-certified theatre rigger and documented relevant experience. Products must meet the specified theatrical rigging standards, and the drapery manufacturer must provide flame-resistance certificates. Equipment and workmanship require a minimum three-year warranty.
