Description
The City seeks one or more providers to develop and deliver foundational community violence intervention training through a training academy. Training may address trauma-responsive, healing-centered care; professional standards for CVI workers; case management; community-based safety, including event and public-space safety planning, de-escalation, and crowd management; and the intersections of community and domestic violence. Applicants may propose for one or more training categories. Train-the-trainer, credentialing, workforce resilience, and partnerships with local credible messengers receive additional consideration. The selected provider will work with the City and Roca Inc. to develop and obtain approval for lesson plans, conduct pilot sessions and refine the materials, and deliver training to at least two cohorts. Proposals must describe the proposed activities, fees, anticipated hours, and expenses, and address the specified organizational, experience, project approach, staffing, schedule, and fee criteria. Total funding is capped at $55,000. The contract is for one year, with one possible one-year renewal contingent on approval of a no-cost extension.
