Description
Granite School District intends to award Four Seasons Tours, Inc. dba Contest of Champions without a standard competitive procurement process for the Olympus High School Drill Team's participation in the 2027 Contest of Champions event. The proposed package covers competition participation, awards activities, lodging at Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort, Universal Orlando theme park admission, meal allowances, round-trip airport transportation, resort transportation, adjudication and recap materials, tour escort and emergency assistance, hotel security, liability insurance, and applicable taxes. The event and associated travel package are scheduled for February 24 through March 1, 2027, with an estimated expenditure of $67,016. The notice states that the sole-source justification is based on access to and participation in the specific Contest of Champions event and its event-specific package, rather than on the individual travel components considered separately. Qualified vendors challenging the proposed award must submit an email-only challenge with supporting documentation demonstrating an alternative source and a comparable or equivalent procurement item.
