Description
The State University of New York at Downstate Health Sciences University is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to replace aging surgical lighting in 14 surgical suites: 12 main operating rooms and two Labor and Delivery operating rooms. The scope includes ten dual-head and two triple-head ceiling-mounted LED systems, removal and disposal of existing equipment, delivery, mounting hardware, electrical connections, controls, accessories, site verification, testing, commissioning, final acceptance, and any required ceiling, mounting, or electrical modifications. Work must be coordinated to minimize disruption to clinical operations and comply with applicable regulatory, security, warranty, clinical in-service, technical training, and extended-service requirements. The contractor must provide manufacturer documentation, warranty coverage, onsite clinical and technical training, and all labor, equipment, materials, and services necessary for a complete installation. The procurement is subject to prevailing wage requirements and prohibits subcontracting. Bidders must submit at least three hospital references for comparable work, along with the required proposal, exhibits, certifications, diversity documentation, and cost proposal.
