Description
The Texas Workforce Commission is seeking applications from eligible nonprofit organizations to administer the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP). The program serves unemployed, low-income individuals aged 55 and older through part-time community service assignments, work-based training, supportive services, and assistance transitioning to unsubsidized employment. Applicants must conduct statewide outreach and enrollment, serve priority populations including veterans and rural residents, establish community service worksites, maintain participant eligibility records, and meet specified performance and reporting requirements. The grant has approximately a 12-month initial period, with renewals or extensions at TWC's discretion for a total period not exceeding five years. Up to $4,139,302 is available, with a required 10% non-federal match. Applicants must submit the required core application, budget workbook, and any applicable exceptions form, along with detailed program, administration, experience, outreach, outcomes, and budget information.
