Description
The New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation is soliciting bids for a five-year contract to provide solid waste and recycling removal services at Woodlawn Beach State Park. The contractor must furnish one 30-cubic-yard roll-off container for municipal solid waste and one 4-cubic-yard dumpster for single-stream recycling, with each container serviced once monthly, or 12 pickups annually. The contractor will be paid for actual services rendered, with no guaranteed minimum or maximum number of pickups. The scope also includes maintaining clean, properly labeled dumpsters in good working condition; complying with applicable laws and permits; avoiding pickups between 8:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m.; providing an emergency contact to the park manager annually; and submitting quarterly and annual reports documenting waste disposed and materials recycled or composted. Bidders must provide three satisfactory references for similar services performed within the past five years. The work is subject to New York prevailing-wage requirements and specified insurance obligations, including commercial general liability, automobile liability when applicable, workers’ compensation, and disability benefits coverage.
