Description
The County of Erie is soliciting bids for armed security guard services at two locations: 608 William Street, Buffalo, NY 14206, and 810 East Ferry, Buffalo, NY 14211. The contract period is from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027. The selected vendor must have a qualified security organization in active operation for a minimum of five years and possess New York State certification, with all guards also being New York State Certified. Proof of certification must be submitted with the bid. The scope of work includes providing security personnel for various shifts at both locations, including desk duties, patrols, and responding to incidents. Guards must wear approved uniforms and display company-issued identification and New York State identification. The vendor is responsible for all associated costs, including wages, uniforms, and bonding. Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each location must be provided prior to commencing work, and any changes must be approved by relevant county departments. The vendor must also supply timecards, time clocks, and certified payroll with monthly billing, as well as barcode scanning systems for patrol verification. A performance review will be conducted every ninety days, and failure to respond to deficiencies may result in immediate termination of the agreement. All personnel working within the Erie County Clinical structure must meet specific health requirements, including immunizations and health assessments, as per NYDOH Article 28 guidelines.
