Description
The U.S. Army is soliciting a small business to manufacture cadet sabers for the United States Military Academy. The base requirement includes 1,700 complete sword assemblies, each consisting of a cadet sword, scabbard, and cover, plus one first-article assembly. The solicitation also includes two annual option periods, each for 1,700 additional sword assemblies and one first-article assembly. The swords must conform to detailed purchase-description requirements covering stainless-steel blades, cast and plated hilt components, leather cushions, nickel-plated scabbards with liners, and blue flannelette covers. The solicitation requires one sample cadet sword with scabbard and cover by the closing deadline for pass/fail technical evaluation. Base delivery is due April 12, 2027, with option deliveries due April 12, 2028, and April 12, 2029. The contract is firm fixed price and will be awarded to one responsible offeror offering all required quantities at the lowest evaluated price.
