Description
The United States Merchant Marine Academy is conducting market research for a complete, turnkey replacement of the scoreboard at Tomb Field. The requirement includes design and engineering; removal of the existing scoreboard; modification of the existing support structure; furnishing and installation of an approximately 60-by-30-foot outdoor LED video scoreboard; redundant video processing; scoring and timing controls; integrated audio; instant replay and video production equipment; control software; spare parts; testing, commissioning, operator training, and technical support. The future contractor would also be responsible for structural and electrical work, professional-engineer-stamped drawings and calculations, compliance with federal procurement and historic-property requirements, site cleanup, warranties, and documentation. The draft requirement specifies a five-year manufacturer warranty, one-year installation workmanship warranty, ten-year parts availability, and optional preventative maintenance. This notice is for market research only and requests a five-page capability statement plus a completed Market Research Questionnaire; it is not a solicitation or request for a proposal or quote.
