Description
This is a fixed-price electrical construction contract to replace the existing Rauland Responder 4 nurse call system at Helen Hayes Hospital with a Rauland Responder 5 system. Work includes removing existing nurse call devices, consoles, head-end equipment, and associated cabling; installing patient, staff, duty, pull-cord, emergency, and corridor-light stations; installing domeless controllers, nurse consoles, head-end cabinets, battery-backed power supplies, Ethernet switches, controllers, CAT 5E/CAT 6 cabling, raceways, supports, grounding, firestopping, and related electrical power and communications infrastructure. The facility will remain occupied and operational, requiring phased work that maintains nurse call coverage throughout construction. The contractor must coordinate with the facility and system manufacturer, use factory-certified installers, provide testing, training, closeout documentation, and warranties, and comply with New York prevailing-wage, MWBE, and SDVOB requirements. The estimated contract value is $1,000,000 to $2,000,000. Substantial completion is required within 591 days after Comptroller approval of the Agreement, followed by physical completion within 90 days after substantial completion.
