Description
The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) is soliciting sealed bids for the ABLA Brooks Homes Site Infrastructure Upgrades project. The scope includes comprehensive site improvements such as replacement of aged stormwater and sanitary systems, removal and replacement of existing water mains, reconstruction of parking areas with permeable pavers, new and repaired sidewalks, and a new stamped concrete plaza with bollards and basketball court base. Environmental remediation is required as part of the NEPA process, involving excavation of near-surface soils, disposal at approved landfills, and placement of geotextile fabric. The work will be performed in two phases across occupied residential buildings, with careful scheduling to minimize resident impact. The project must be substantially completed by November 30, 2027.
