Description
The School District of Independence is soliciting bids from a single general contractor for renovation of the lower level of Bridger Middle School. Bids must be submitted on the required bid form and include a list of subcontractors by work category, including each subcontractor's name, address, and scope of work. The project is tax exempt and is subject to Missouri prevailing-wage requirements. A 5% bid bond, or certified check in lieu of the bond, is required with the bid. The successful bidder must provide a 100% performance bond and 100% labor and material payment bond, along with a certificate of insurance and executed agreement after award. Major equipment and material require pre-bid approval, and the contractor must comply with the project plans, specifications, addenda, and applicable construction laws and regulations.
