Description
The Town seeks an independent accounting firm to audit its financial statements for the fiscal years ending June 30, 2024, and June 30, 2026, and review its statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025. The audits must follow generally accepted auditing standards and Government Auditing Standards, and include opinions on the fair presentation of the basic financial statements. The scope also includes reporting on internal control and compliance, a management letter with findings and recommendations, and a compliance audit of major federal award programs if applicable. The auditor will assist with year-end adjustments, prepare confirmations, answer questions, and file completed reports with the relevant state and federal offices. The proposal must describe the firm's qualifications, assigned personnel, audit approach, governmental audit experience, references, quality-control review, and fee proposal. The selected firm may be asked to present its final report to the Town Council.
