Description
North York General Hospital is seeking a prime architectural design team to redevelop and upgrade medical imaging spaces affected by end-of-life equipment. The scope covers three independent workstreams: CT, X-ray, and SPECT/SPECT-CT. Services include existing-condition assessment, stakeholder and equipment-vendor coordination, space planning, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, shielding, data, and installation design, Ministry of Health submissions, tender documentation, construction administration, general review, site meetings, payment certification, and closeout support. The project includes layout, millwork, finishes, lighting, power, HVAC, nurse-call, lead-shielding, and control-room modifications while maintaining hospital operations and coordinating separate phasing and tender packages. The construction-cost budget is CAD 3,500,000, allocated as CAD 1,700,000 for CT, CAD 300,000 for X-ray, and CAD 1,500,000 for SPECT and SPECT/CT rooms. Proponents must demonstrate recent Canadian healthcare experience involving comparable medical-imaging equipment replacements, provide four similar project examples, identify key personnel and subconsultants, and submit an executive summary, company and personnel experience, methodology and approach, pricing, references, and mandatory certifications, WSIB, insurance, and proposal forms.
