Description
The State of Maine Department of Labor's Maine Apprenticeship Program is seeking one technical assistance provider to expand Registered Apprenticeship into rural healthcare occupations. The selected contractor will assess existing models and barriers; engage employers, workers, educational institutions, licensing and accrediting organizations, labor groups, and workforce partners; and develop a statewide implementation strategy. The work includes designing at least three distinct apprenticeship pathways and schedules of work integrating paid employment, related technical instruction, postsecondary education, degree attainment, and professional licensure; supporting pilot implementation; developing partnership agreements, implementation resources, evaluation measures, playbooks, and sustainability recommendations; providing quarterly updates and a final report; and building Maine Apprenticeship Program staff capacity. The anticipated contract has an initial one-year period with two one-year renewal periods, and one award is anticipated.
